Greens Pushing Solar Pv

Greens Pushing Solar Pv
The Greens have announced a new policy which would allow New Zealanders to finance up to $15,000 to have Solar Photovoltaics installed on the roof of their house. It has sparked debate and interest from both sides of the fence.

For us at PowerSmart there is one thing we never understand. How people can say New Zealand has many more environmentally friendly ways to generate power (eg: hydro and wind) than Solar PV. Always remember that these forms of power generation do have impact: dams, stop rivers from flowing and flood the surrounding countryside, wind turbines create noise in once silent areas and visually pollute hill tops. Don't forget the massive tramission lines to transport the power to the cities. There are many farmers in the Waikato who recently were getting paid compensation to have these huge new towers put through their farms.

For us and our clients Solar PV continues to add up. Going on the contiued inquiries that we get, Solar PV it is of major interest to many New Zealanders trying to escape the grip of the power companies and ongoing price rises.
