MICRO NUCLEAR REACTOR QUESTIONS?
So I'm having to make a cardboard house for a science project that runs only on alternate energy sources. I'm using geothermal as a source, and nuclear. However, our sources can only be based for our homes, and not for several. So for geothermal, I'm using a ground source heat pump, and for nuclear, Toshiba's MICRO nuclear reactor. However, I can't figure out how the reactor circulates heat through the home, and I'm so confused! I understand the gist of how the liquid lithium-6 triggers the reaction, but I don't know how that relates to heating the home, and how. Could you please help me? Thank you so much!

I hope this is a model of the reactor, not a real one.
A nuclear reactor would never be used to heat a home. They are used to generate large amounts of electricity, some of which can be piped over the power lines and used to heat homes.
Use a wind turbine or solar cells, they are well suited for individual homes.

Get beyond the marketing hype and enthusiastic estimation (I always take marketing with some ammount of doubt), it looks like they have done their homework enough to see that there is commercial profitability in such a venture.
This would be a good indication that smaller micro-turbines or VAWT would do nicely to augment home powering.

DOES A COAL FIRED POWER STATION AFFECT THE LOCAL MICROCLIMATE?
The POWER station near my house is coal powered and pumps vast clouds of steam out of its coooling towers. The POWER station is closing down todaycant I expect any change in microclimate?

Not really because the wind takes away the moisture released by the cooling towers. You can see a steam cloud because the moist air is cooling down as it gets out of the tower. But soon that moisture evaporates, until it reaches a certain height and the air cools down by adiabatic effect of a lesser pressure aloft to come under dew point temperature. That moisture will then, again, form a cloud. But a tiny one that will have no effect of the micro-climate and, anyway, it will now be far away from your location.

I am not sur if you can get this particular product but I do know you can get wind up LED torches from Kmart and big W.
I know because I have one in my power out emergency kit, Bought it only 3 months ago.

Solar Power - Source the sun., solar photo voltaic, solar thermal.
Solar hot water- Heat into hot water.
Solar photo voltaic - spectrum into electricity.
Solar Thermal - Heat into hot water into steam into turbines for electricity.
Disadvantage - Not full time base load power. Solar thermal with salt pond storage can get around this.
Wind Power - Source weather patterns from the sun. Kinetic energy into electric energy
Micro wind generators - Wind into electricity at a individual level.
Large wind generation - Wind farms at a community level
Disadvantage - Not full time base load power.
Wave Energy - kinetic energy into electric energy. Moon and sun influences waves.
Disadvantage - Harsh salt environments.
Tidal Energy - kinetic energy into electric energy. Moon gravity affecting the tides.
Disadvantage - Harsh salt environments.
